The Library

I was briefed to come up with a new concept for promoting my college library. This project was also to try and get people's minds of the typical library stereotype eg: boring, quiet, no fun...

So i decided to go with a video game concept. This has become more popular in the target audience especially the old retro pixel games. So i decided to take inspiration from the old style and create something more new and contemporary. Mario and Princess peach may have went through my mind at this time too

So here are two posters from the library promo campaign. If this was to be furthered as a concept, i would consider creating more characters and sticker them over the college leading you to the library and also t-shirt designs and other prizes for competitions/ renting out so many book ect

So all in all i think it works as a concept and fulfills the brief. It has a lot of milage as well for more ideas.
